The ASOIF Medical and Science Consultative Group (AMSCG)
The AMSCG was created in 2005.
The primary role of the AMSCG is to look at practical and operational issues of common interest for all the IFs in the areas of medical and anti-doping activity, including all athletes’ health related matters. The AMSCG is chaired by Dr. Margo Mountjoy (CAN). The Canadian sports medicine physician is a member of the International Swimming Federation (FINA) Bureau, of the Games Working Group of the IOC’s Medical Commission as well as of WADA’s TUE (Therapeutic Use Exemption) Committee.
